Kumawat ( कुमावत in Hindi ) is a samaj (community) of people living mainly in Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi and other part of India. They had always protected our planet and our people from the time of the Indus civilization. Rajaputra, kheted, silawat, beldar are some other names of this community. They also use their Gotra and father's name as secondary name. There is two parts of kumawat community 1.Rajpat {Chejara} and 2.Prajapat {Kumbhawat} Both of have same Gotras but they don't marry with each other. Religion kumawat belong with Hinduism religion. Hinduism is biggest religion of india. Kumawat worship all hindu God. Their Totem is Vishvakarman. Jalindra's kuldevi is Dhavli Mata (The white mother) belong Himachal Pradesh. They worship her on 8th day of Navratri. Kumawat celebrate all hindu festival and fast. KUMAWAT are considered the master of the Contortionist, buffoon (नट, भांड) Profession Historically, the Kumawat are a warrior caste.[4] The main professions of these people are farming and building construction, but with changing times people are progressing and lots of student from the samaj become successful in professions like managers, doctors, engineers and other higher job. Some Kumawat are accomplished sculptors and artists.[5] The Kumawat are classed as an Other Backward Class (OBC) by the government of India. OBCs are given support by the government through programmes such as education and job reservation.[6] But now they are more powerfull and strong cast in education, politics, and other fields. They always are against from their reservation in OBC. Because they are always getting success without reservation. History and origin According to findings from some ancient sources kumawat is originated from sisodiya vansh of maharana kumbha. It is a holy man named Param Pujya "Guru Garava Ji" who formed Kumawat samaj.[7] Some scholars[who?] say that They came from indus civilization and settled all part of india. Jalindra is most powerful gotra in this cast.. 'JALINDRA' is belong to jalandhar punjab From the time of the Indus civilization. Their ancestors settled in the whole of India. Gotras The Kumawat have around four hundred gotras (clans). Each gotra is exogamous, that is, members cannot marry within their own gotra (and also certain other gotras), but the Kumawat as a whole are endogamous.[8] All gotra's names are belong their fields and their Forefathers.A gotra of this cast 'JALINDRA' is belong to jalandhar punjab From the time of the Indus civilization.   5. kumawats are a section of kumhars, with different professions ।.Their gotras and clans are totally same with kumhars. If they claim rajput origin than all the kumhars have rajput origin. They are still backward because they are not united at all. neither the rajputs consider them kashatriya nor marry with them.
